DS Music was founded by Dan Brigstock after a chat with a few solo musician friends who were feeling the strain — the isolation of going it alone, juggling everything behind the scenes, and second-guessing whether they were even focusing on the right things. Having played in bands most of his life, Dan hadn’t really experienced that kind of creative loneliness before — and it stuck with him. The idea for DS Music was born from that moment: no one should have to navigate this industry alone.
At its core, DS Music is a sounding board — a place where solo artists, especially women in music (who often face even more industry barriers), can come to talk things through. Whether it’s figuring out if a gig is worth the time, choosing a producer, setting up a release plan, or bouncing around wild promo ideas, we’re here for those conversations. No judgment, no pressure — just a second set of ears and someone in your corner.
Dan brings over 20 years of hands-on experience across the music world — from the stage to the studio to the spreadsheets. With his current project, Paytron Saint, he’s had national airplay (BBC, Absolute Radio), picked up a few awards (shoutout to Radio Wigwam), and played on some brilliant festival stages. He’s made the mistakes, learned the lessons, and now he’s sharing that knowledge to help others get where they want to go — faster and with less stress.
DS Music really began by helping a friend — Fawn Music — shape her debut album, Dear Music. It started as a one-off favour and grew into something far bigger: a new way of supporting artists with honesty, heart, and a whole lot of empathy.
We’re here to help you figure it all out — your sound, your style, your goals, your plan. Whether you're just starting out or levelling up, we’ll support you with everything from songwriting feedback and branding to stage confidence and release strategy. Think of us as your creative sounding board and your biggest hype team, rolled into one.
Ready to hit the stage? We’ll help make it happen — from sorting the right venues and lineups to making sure the tech setup doesn’t give you a headache. Whether it’s a local show or a longer run, we’ve got your back with the planning, the connections, and the boring bits (so you can focus on the fun stuff).
Getting your music heard takes more than just uploading it. We help you build an online presence that actually connects — from social content and playlists to promo plans that don’t feel spammy or fake. It’s all about growing a real audience that gets you, and keeping the momentum going when the algorithm gets weird.
The music world doesn’t sit still — and neither do we. Sometimes what you need doesn’t fit neatly into a box, and that’s totally fine. Whether it’s building out your merch, getting your music into film or TV, planning a release party, or something completely out of left field, we’re up for it. If it helps your career move forward, we’ll figure it out together. Just ask.
Working with Dan on my first album was an absolute lifesaver. He brought not only technical expertise but also genuine passion and encouragement that made the entire process feel seamless and inspired. Dan’s attention to detail, patience, and deep musical knowledge made me feel supported every step of the way.
